He has lead several large multicentre prospective clinical decision rule studies to improve care for patients with headache, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), elderly patients with minor injuries at risk for subsequent functional decline and transient ischemic attack (TIA). His major research studies have been in the area of neurological emergencies. Perry's research program is now very well-established and he has published over 120 peer-reviewed publications.
